Home Inspectors, HVAC Contractors, and Industrial Hygiene Professionals — Join our Indoor Environmental Service Professional Network!
Home air quality has become a health issue throughout the U.S. Many states now recommend that a home air quality audit be performed during a residential property sale. In addition, many homeowners are becoming concerned about the air they breathe in their home and are in need of help in solving potential air quality problems. Home Air Check™ has been developed to meet this growing market demand and is offered at a very economical price.
Home Air Check™ is an advanced analysis method that checks for hidden mold and
determines airborne chemicals in the home by collecting a single air sample. Reports
generated from the use of Home Air Check include both the total VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and the total MVOCs (Mold Volatile Organic Compounds) produced by actively growing mold, as well as a Contamination Index™ that lists the possible sources of air contamination in the home. Information gleaned from these reports can then be used to assess the home’s air quality.
The Home Air Check test is performed by a home inspector, HVAC contractor, industrial hygienist, or even a homeowner with the collection of an air sample using a small sampling kit supplied by Prism Analytical Technologies, Inc (PATI)the developers of Home Air Check. Once the air sample is collected, it is returned to the PATI laboratory for an advanced, sensitive analysis that enables PATI to determine the total levels of VOCs and mold present in the home. Home Air Check is so sensitive that it will even detect mold growing behind walls or in carpeting, and thus not visible. Within a couple of days, the you will receive two easy-to-read reports detailing the results of the analysis and an explanation of the sources of contamination.
PATI, the company behind Home Air Check, is a premier U.S. consultative air testing laboratory devoted to the chemical identification and analysis of air contaminants. Home Air Check is built upon PATI’s proprietary TDT Air Scan® and MoldScan™ technologies — standards by which identification and quantification of total VOCs and total MVOCs are measured, and which have been widely used in industry for over 10 years. Now it is possible to monitor VOCs and MVOCs in the home with a single low cost test that can be done in conjunction with a standard home inspection or environmental service call.

A Service to Your Customers
Home Air Check is a wonderful service to a homeowner or potential home buyer, as well as an additional revenue stream for you. The test can be easily performed as part of a routine home inspection, HVAC service call, or as an extra environmental service offering to a market where perhaps you have not yet explored.
Sometimes customers may need further assistance with interpreting the results of their Home Air Check analysis. Homeowners whose TVOC or TMVOC levels are extreme (e.g., >3,000 ng/L TVOC and >150 ng/L TMVOC) may need the help of an indoor air quality expert in determining how to eliminate the source of the problem and in keeping the air quality in their home (or potential home) at a safe level. To address this potential need, PATI has developed the Indoor Environmental Specialist (IES) Network—to support home inspectors, HVAC contractors, and homeowners with a professional service link to Industrial Hygiene Professionals across the United States who are able to assist with air quality issues. In turn, Industrial Hygiene Professionals in the network can also participate in this growing home market to expand their own business, in perhaps a way that was not previously feasible for them.
There are no additional costs to participate in the IES network and no membership fees. PATI simply provides a way for homeowners to receive additional indoor air quality assistance if needed, and a method for professional service providers to generate another income stream through the use of Home Air Check. PATI offers the Home Air Check tests to home inspectors, HVAC contractors, and IH professionals at a special discounted price.
