Home Air Check™ is simply the most powerful analysis technology ever developed for monitoring home air quality. Home Air Check monitors for hundreds of airborne chemicals, called VOCs, or Volatile Organic Compounds, that may be present in your home. In fact, Home Air Check is so advanced that it can measure the presence of MVOCs (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds), otherwise known as mold, within the walls of your home – even if the mold is not visible. The average person spends more time in their home than at work or school, so it is extremely important to know the quality of the home air. With just one inexpensive test, homeowners and potential home buyers have the ability to monitor and assess the levels of air pollutants within the home. Performing the test is simple. After placing your order, you will receive a Home Air Check test kit from PATI, complete with sample tubes for collecting the air sample and detailed instructions. One test will cover a 2,000 sq. ft. area. After collecting the air sample, you simply return the entire kit to PATI in the pre-paid, pre-addressed shipping container. Once your sample is received by PATI, an analysis will be performed in the PATI laboratory.

After the analysis has been completed, you will receive a report describing the total amount of VOCs and MVOCs (mold) present in your home air. If the total VOC levels are shown to be excessive, you will also receive at no extra charge a half-hour phone consultation with an independent Home Air Quality Specialist. In addition, you’ll receive more information on the type of contamination that is suspected and the potential source of contamination.

Formaldehyde
Home Air Check can also test for the presence of Formaldehyde in your home air. Formaldehyde is a common chemical classified as a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) by the Environmental Protection Agency. Because of the unique and precise method in which Formaldehyde is analyzed from the home air sample, a second sampling tube is required to test for this chemical. The price for this separate test is $65. If you would like to test for the presence of Formaldehyde in your home, in addition to testing for TVOC and mold levels, please indicate this on your order form.
